PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Zinc, whose name is derived from the Latin word Zincum, and whose chemical symbol is Zn, is a silvery-white, slightly bluish metal with a density of 7.14 g/cm3 and a melting point of 419.5°C.
Zinc is chemically active and in the air at room temperature, a thin, dense film of zinc carbonate alkali is generated on the surface, which prevents further oxidation.
