ENP Joins Yieh Phui in Pioneering Chinese Enterprises' Expansion into Malaysia

In this issue, we introduce two Malaysian clients visiting ENP.

Located at the heart of Southeast Asia, Malaysia commands the Strait of Malacca, serving as a vital nexus between maritime and mainland ASEAN. This grants the nation exceptional geographical advantages. As a key node on the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road," Malaysia was among the first countries to support the Belt and Road Initiative. Backed by high-level policy support and market forces, Chinese enterprises have demonstrated robust investment activity in Malaysia's manufacturing sector since 2023.

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. Over the past half-century, the two nations have maintained close ties: China has been Malaysia’s largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, while Malaysia ranks as China’s second-largest trading partner within ASEAN.

On March 18, 2023, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) – the world's largest free trade agreement – officially took effect for Malaysia. Under the agreement, China and Malaysia began implementing additional market access commitments and preferential tariff measures from this date onward.

Notably, Malaysia imposes 0% anti-dumping duties on Ye Hui's exported hot-dip galvanized and galvalume steel sheets – the most favorable tariff treatment available to Chinese steel enterprises. This provides Yieh Phui and ENP with inherent competitive advantages and solid safeguards for Southeast Asian market expansion.

Recently, ENP welcomed two delegations of distinguished international guests, Among the honoured guests from Malaysia included Huang Rongcai, Yang Jianxiong and Yu Zujin and others visited ENP. Shanghai ENP Industrial Co., Ltd. General Manager Shen Congkuang, Deputy General Managers Chen Rongchun and Zhu Hu, along with Yieh Phui Assistant Sales General Manager Huang Fucai and Sales Manager Yin Chunlei, warmly received the delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the export of Yieh Phui steel to Malaysia.

During the visit, ENP Industrial not only introduced Yieh Phui Steel's excellent products and advanced technology to the Malaysian partners in detail, but also demonstrated their outstanding position as an industry pioneer.

It is worth mentioning that, The Malaysian companies are deeply engaged in the field of steel production and steel products, and have an in-depth understanding of the relevant regulations and policies related to China's steel exports to Malaysia. This in-depth exchange also greatly benefited ENP, providing a more detailed understanding of the tariff policyies and export business processes. It can effectively further the improvement of the operational efficiency of ENP's export business in the future, achieving significant cost reductions.

Recently, ENP Industrial and Yieh Phui jointly met with two Malaysian clients on separate occasions, demonstrating seamless cooperation and a commitment to excellence.
